Microsoft is preparing a thinner version of Windows 10 to compete with the Chrome system

Microsoft is concerned about the expansion of the Chrome system to eat from the Windows system share, and one weapon to defend its castle is what will be known as Windows 10 Cloud as a simplified version of Windows to rival the Chrome system and ChromeBook devices.

ChromiumBooks have had great success in the United States, making their sales outstripping Mac sales and often being the top selling devices on Amazon. Chromebooks are cheap, faster and more secure, so schools and universities prefer it, unlike Windows, which is preferred by companies and individual users.

Some sources have indicated that Microsoft is preparing to launch a new Windows 10 application development package that will allow developers to develop comprehensive applications running on a thin version of Windows 10 that could be considered a new version of Windows RT. The new Windows version will enable downloading applications only from the Windows Store. Although the current version name is Windows 10 Cloud, it does not mean that it is connected to cloud computing or is entirely cloud dependent.

Details are still scarce on the development package and the new system, but Microsoft seems to be launching it and getting to know everything in April with the release of Windows Update 10 this year called Creators Update.
