Apple fails in social networking music for the second time

Apple's second social networking bid fails in just three years, with the company announcing that it will remove the Connect section from its music application that allowed artists to communicate with their fans.

When Apple launched its application and music service three years ago, it clearly focused on Connect, which has one of the three pillars of the application, but is now closed to artists who have not shown any interest in it.

Artists will not be able to create new content through the feature and the previous content will be removed from the For You section and the artist page, but will be accessible from search results only until May 24.

It is unfortunate that the feature, despite its great promotion at the launch ceremony when Apple brought the famous artist Drake launched its versions independently and directly to his fans.

The feature seems to have been a mix of SoundCloud to publish music and Twitter for discussion and interaction among users, but it has not worked

Apple tried in 2010 with the Ping feature in iTunes to provide a social and musical communication environment but also failed.
